Winners of Painting Competition are going for “PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games at Seoul

Best blog of US : NewsPatrolling.com Korean Culture Center announced winners of All India 1stKorea – India Painting competition under the theme of “PyeongChang 2018 OlympicWinter Games” which witnessed the participation of 22,022 students from more than 290 schools and 27 states and Union territories. Total 43 students were awarded amongst which top 5 winners are going to visit the 2018 Winter Olympics which will be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea from this February.

Kim Kum-PyoungDirector of Korean Cultural Center India, congratulated all the winners and said that students will have a memorable experience of PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games that will be the biggest winter Olympics ever in history. 

The 1st winner Lakshmi.M.Vikash who will be experiencing PyeongChang winter Olympics games expressed her gratitude and said that Korea is her dream destination. She is excited to experience everything which she knew through books, Stories, internets or cultural – dance and Music.

The competition was held in two groups: Junior Group (Classes 7 and below) and Senior Group (Classes 8-12). 22 thousand and more paintings on the themes of winter, sports and Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic Winter games passed screenings of high standard by the judges, Nilanjana Nanday and Jagadeesh Reddy, contemporary artists in Delhi. The judges were astonished to see the number of entries received from all over India responding to the painting competition.

“The theme Pyeongchang Olympics gave the children and their educators an opportunity to find out more about winter Olympics and Korea, Thus, it was not only a beautiful picture but had to be explored thematically”, said Nilanjana Nandy

“The children have transformed their vivid imaginations into a visual expression with utmost skills, sensibilities and knowledge”, said Jagadeesh Reddy.
